In Q2 2024, the iOS landscape for fast food and fast casual restaurant apps showcased varied activity levels, according to Sensor Tower data. Here's a glance at how five major players fared.
McDonald’s - Non-US experienced a fluctuating download trend, starting at roughly 2K and peaking at over 3K before settling back to around 2K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users exhibited a more consistent growth, starting at 30K and peaking at over 41K in the fifth week, before slightly declining to just over 33K.
The BURGER KING® Magyarország app showed a similar pattern in downloads, initiating at around 2K, climbing to a high of 2.5K, and then tapering off to 2K. Weekly active users began at nearly 20K and witnessed a moderate increase, peaking at over 22K.
KFC Magyarország downloads hovered around the 1.8K to 2K mark with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter. The weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at around 18K and concluding the quarter with a similar figure.
McDonald’s Germany downloads were lower in comparison, with numbers ranging from just above 400 to nearing 500 in the fourth week, before dipping to around 300 towards the quarter's end. Weekly active users for the app reflected a slight increase from 1.5K to a peak of 1.6K.
Lastly, the Domino’s Pizza® app showed the least activity among the group, with downloads starting at 111, peaking at 166 in the ninth week, and then returning to 125. Weekly active users started at 139, peaked at 198 in the ninth week, and then returned to 146 by the quarter's end.
